Specific objectives

  1. Design of new polymeric composite materials for use in additive manufacturing by material extrusion;
  2. Experimental analysis of composite materials obtained by rapid manufacturing in order to characterize their elastic and mechanical;
  3. Design / testing of functional parts made of composite materials with applicability in medicine and engineering;
  4. Establishing the process parameters in order to optimize the mechanical behavior of the parts, depending on the application requirements;
  5. Analysis of the biomechanical and mechanical behavior of functional models, by the finite element method (MEF).

Steps:

  1. – The current stage regarding the composite materials manufactured additive by material extrusion;

– Design of new polymeric composite materials for use in additive manufacturing by material extrusion;

– Experimental and numerical characterization of the mechanical and biomechanical behavior of the obtained materials.

 

  1. – Using the results obtained through experimental techniques and numerical analysis to achieve functional models with application in medicine and engineering;

– Optimization of additive manufacturing parameters for obtaining new composite materials and functional parts;

– Analysis by the finite element method of the behavior of the obtained functional models.
