General objectives
Evaluation of packaging and storage technologies for radioactive aluminum and graphite waste resulting from the decommissioning of the VVR-S nuclear research reactor from IFIN-HH. This waste represents an important category of radioactive waste containing long-lived radioisotopes, for which there are no treatment and conditioning technologies and therefore cannot be stored in the National Radioactive Waste Depot Băița-Bihor of IFIN-HH, provided the conditions are met. of their acceptance for storage in accordance with the authorization to carry out storage activities issued by the National Commission for the Control of Nuclear Activities CNCAN.
