On November 4, 2024, in the Marble Hall of the Palace of the National Military Circle, the 135th anniversary of the founding and opening of the courses of the Higher War School, the predecessor of the National Defense University Carol I<\/em> (UNAp), was marked.<\/p>\n\n

The event was attended by the Chief of the Defense General Staff, General Gheorghi\u021b\u0103 VLAD, guests from various structures of the army, active and reserve members of the armed forces, as well as high-ranking officers members of the AOSR.<\/p>\n\n

Prof. Univ. dr. dr. eng. Doina BANCIU – President of the Romanian Academy of Scientists was invited to award a diploma of excellence and a gold medal at the event.General Mircea Teodor MURE\u0218AN, full member of the AOSR, who served as commander (rector) of the National Defense University (2003-2008), emphasized the long-standing relationship of the AOSR with the honored institution.<\/p>\n\n

The anniversary event was also attended by Prof. Prof. Nicolae ISTUDOR – Rector of ASE, Major General Florentina IONI\u021a\u0102-RADU – the first female General, Commander of the Central Military Emergency University Hospital “Dr. Carol Davila” Bucharest, Commander Eugen MAVRI\u0218, Rector of the National Defense University “Carol I”. The event is part of a series of activities that UNAp is celebrating this special milestone in the institution’s history, which started on October 30, 2024.<\/p>\n\n
