Camelia Diaconu<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Internal medicine is one of the most complex medical specialties, dealing with a holistic diagnostic and therapeutic approach to the patient.<\/p>\n<p>It is the internist who is called upon to integrate all the clinical and paraclinical medical data of the patient and to establish the final treatment plan. In the context of an ageing population with a progressively increasing number of comorbidities, the internal medicine specialist needs to have special clinical skills and to be constantly &#8216;up to date&#8217; with the latest advances in the field. <\/p>\n<p>In addition, we are now witnessing another phenomenon: new diseases, sometimes in young patients, some of them the result of population migration from East to West. We are also confronted with atypical presentations of classical diseases, such as rare, difficult-to-diagnose diseases. <\/p>\n<p>From this dynamic perspective, the Conference &#8220;From A to Z in Internal Medicine&#8221; aims to launch a forum for interdisciplinary collegial discussions, centered on the practice and issues of internal medicine in Romania.<\/p>\n<p>I warmly invite hospitalist colleagues, as well as those working in the outpatient clinic and colleagues from other medical specialties, to join this forum for professional and professional discussions, which I hope will succeed in crystallizing internal medicine in Romania.<\/p>\n<p>Younger colleagues, residents who have already chosen internal medicine, are also invited to participate in order to have a complete perspective on the patient, beyond the horizon of a single organ or a single disease.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Dr. Camelia Diaconu<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>November 8, 2024 &#8211; Hibrid, Hotel Capitol Bucharest&#8211; Event credited with 6 emc credits and 8 efc credits Internal medicine is one of the most complex medical specialties, dealing with a holistic diagnostic and therapeutic approach to the patient.
