Father Professor Theodor Damian offers us a beautiful volume of sermons for the Sundays of the church year entitled Gospel Glose. Meditations on Sundays over the year. Each sermon has a general structure: the importance of the theme, the link between the main message of the Gospel text and an aspect of everyday life at the time, its presence in the Old Testament, similar places in the New Testament, interpretation of the text, cultural examples and illustrations (poems, quotations, history, etc.), the importance of the theme for today. From year to year, the author has tried to address different aspects of the Sunday Gospel in order to avoid uniformity of the same explanations each year.
