From 2004 to 2012, he was Chancellor of UMF “Carol Davila” in Bucharest, and from 2012 to 2016 I was President of the University Senate of this prestigious university. He was coordinator of the National HIV Program in Romania, and President of the National Committee for the Fight against HIV\/AIDS. He was an advisor in the Ministry of Health from 1988 to 1999 and from 2001 to 2003, and State Secretary in the Romanian Ministry of Health from 2009 to 2012. In 2009 it set up the Mobile Rapid Response Unit in case of a biological alert.
